Dating a Quick Spot

<Section needs revision for clarity>

The three ways to date a Quick Spot punch are:

  • No Stampings or mention of patents
  • Stamping on body of tool with company name, and “Patent Pending”
  • Stamping on body of tool with company name and “Patent 3,191,462”
  • <Unknown information> Raised and contoured top instead of flat top.

These two Quick Spot Punches are NOS – “New Old Stock” and have never been used.

We are able to accurately date when these were manufactured from a few details that are on the packaging.

From the Glastonbury address that is listed, it shows that it was manufactured after 1954.

From the JT Slocomb Globe logo, it was manufactured at the latest at 1959.

So both of these Quick Spot Punches were manufactured between 1954 – 1959.
