This Micrometer Caliper, like the No. 31, is intended to measure the walls of tubes, etc.
The anvil of the 1/2″ inch micrometer will enter a hole 3/8″s inch diameter to a depth of 7/16″ inch.
The anvil of the 1″ inch micrometer will enter hole 7/16″ inch diameter to a depth of 3/4″ inch.
